Cookie Policy
This site is operated by The Association for IEMT Practitioners. This page explains what cookies the wiki sets and what they are for.
Cookies this site sets
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| DokuWiki session cookie | Keeps you signed in while you browse, and remembers preferences such as the sidebar state | Essential | Until you close the browser |
| Remember-me cookie | Set only if you tick “Remember me” when signing in | Functional | Until it expires or you sign out |
| _ga | Set by Google Analytics to tell one visitor from another | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_GGVV1T3WP4 | Set by Google Analytics to keep session state for this site | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
Only signed-in contributors receive the session and remember-me cookies. Analytics cookies are set for all visitors.
What the analytics cookies are used for
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and whether the wiki works on the devices people use. IP addresses are anonymised before they are stored. We do not use these cookies for advertising, and we do not sell or share the data.
Controlling cookies
- Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site. Blocking the essential cookies will stop you signing in, but the wiki remains readable.
- Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” or tracking-protection setting.
